A lot of gaming problems on Wayland are caused by Xwayland; currently if you run games through Wine or Proton they won’t run under native Wayland.
Wine is getting Wayland support next year, if I understood the notes correctly, and Proton will most likely follow shortly. So maybe that will make the experience better.
Happy to see continued Wayland compatibility updates; I just wish Wayland wasn’t so problematic for gaming on my system :|
