I would say its more like, your car wouldn’t let you operate it unless it actively has a signal from Tesla that says “this is the legitimate owner, let them drive it.”
Except instead of your car, it’s your online banking service and they don’t like that you’ve blocked their data mining on you that they resell to other businesses.
