I thought Ellen was a free speech absolutist? Weird how free speech absolutists always shut down criticism directed at themselves.
Well yeah. That was made pretty abundantly clear when they had a public meltdown over Top Gear thrashing the shitty range. They got so infuriated with the idea that someone dared point out that the car sucks that they refused to give them another car for years. When they did, Top Gear rigged the whole segment with jokes by having “lawyers” around saying what they could and couldn’t say.

The days in which businesses competed by trying to make the best possible product for the best possible price are dead and gone - sacrificed on the altar of shortsighted greed.
The current strategy is to make the shittiest possible product for the highest possible price, then try to manipulate things so that it sells anyway.
And that’s been Tesla’s strategy since day one.
This has always been an underlying scam of capitalism. It’s usually much more profitable to lie and make money than it is to provide a truly good product and/or service.
The automaker also recently updated its vehicle software to provide a breakdown of battery consumption during recent trips with suggestions on how range might have been improved.
