Given that, statistically, a multiple choice test would have had them score over 10 times what they did, this was probably a written test. 2% makes me think they freaked out, answered nothing at all, and the non-zero score was for getting their own name right.

2% is awfully low, but it would suck to be taunted for something you struggle with and probably already feel some shame about.
