Is “dark patterns” the new term we’re using for these algorithms? I’m not against it
Not really new but probably not that popular for everyone. It seems it was coined in 2010: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_pattern. In the web dev space I was using it like 8-9 years ago, more or less.
