    If you’re saying that you clearly haven’t tried Linux. Once you tried it you too will be changed for life and only ever preach the wonders of linux/s

      Just yesterday I tried something less convential with mounting an NFS storage from TrueNAS with the RemotePlugin from OMV6.
      It didnt work probably due to some weird permission applying routine from omv6 when adding the folder as a shared ressource.

      This and several other shenanigans are something I am not very fond of in comparison to Windows where some stuff seems to work easier.

      Now mind you: I am a long time windows user and thus the experience may look very different for an experienced Linux admin with the same amount of experience in Linux. But it’s very frustrating. Especially with all the weird decisions that in practice is probably all logical but as a newcomer seems absolute asinine and convoluted (way too many ways to install packages, apply a static ip, do basic tasks) because it’s either tech debt, deprecated tools depending on each other on some very strange way and so on and so forth.
      It definitely has it’s uses but personally I prefer the way Windows does it for the most part.
