This exactly how I looked at my phone. I just got a pixel 8 pro this week upgrading from the pixel 3xl (because I fell for the sale email and got it for $600 lol) I was already considering upgrading as my phone had started acting up and hitching recently and it’s been about 5 years anyway.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the 8 pros battery life so far in comparison to the pixel 3xl though.

I think MAGA is an unspoken admission that there are a lot of easily swayed people in this country that have been failed by the existing system.

From what I recall there were not an insignificant amount of Bernie to Trump voters. Sick of the current system and looking for a charismatic outsider that wanted to fight for them.

The left has their grassroots movements, but there is no major media outlet that convinces others to join in on the boycotts. They might report it’s happening, but they don’t go all Sean Hannity with some version of “they’re taking your job prospects and giving it to some undeserving lazy _____ person because they’re the real racists and they hate you!”

Isn’t this exactly what Chevron Deference was about? I don’t know how clearly defined the law actually is, but this seems like a prime case for the rubber stamp SCOTUS to jump on and say “actually according to a pig shit farmer from 9500bc the law was meant to mean that monopoly power is awesome.”

My comment wasn’t so much endorsing it’s continued existence, but more exasperation as the thought of an individual having any impact on pretty much the entire world is quite the stretch.

We can learn as much as we like about the alternatives, but making it happen requires action by many many many many people. We can’t even get “libs” in the US to come together on some of the “simplest” shit let alone getting enough people to change the global economic system that gives such mind boggling power to the ultra wealthy.
