My day to day walking to grocery stores is something like one kilometer. Bus goes every ten or fifteen minutes near my home. I don’t like biking that’s why I decided to walk. Every now and then I walk to the city, which is 5 km from my home, I don’t think it’s too far, but if I go to shopping there I usually come back with a bus.

I did it in that way: I installed a second hard drive in my laptop and installed Mint in there. Happy dual boot. But I must say that I knowingly did buy a laptop with an option for a second drive.

I had 386 pc with ms-dos and windows 3.0 but soon I switched it to Amiga 1200 and I must say, it was stunning computer compared to pc.

I suggest you to check out Linux Mint Cinnamon edition. I have been using it for years without any problems. I also have dual boot with Windows, but I think I will delete Windows soon and use only Linux.
