Putting that aside the article wasn’t saying 60fps is enough it was saying it was more than necessary. I assume you can at least tell 30fps from 60
(Also I edited my comment because I didn’t use the quote markup properly)
Just have copilot check the code 🙃
look, most games just don’t need 60fps, alright
Insane take, more so when talking about a game that will run on a pile of wires and string
It’s nothing to do with what ISPs blocking traffic it’s about being able to seed
Mullvad doesn’t support port forwarding does it?
If you quickly uninstall it because you don’t know anyone using it it sounds like you’re part of the problem. If someone you know installs it to try it out that’s one less person they see as well. Personally I got the vast majority of my friend group to move to it years ago by just saying like “hey Facebook sucks we should move to signal”. If you don’t want to do that should at least leave it installed it’s not like it’s taking up much space
Seems more like it just hallucinated the number of someone who happened to have WhatsApp than it shared someone’s number but not surprising.
Yes but looking at publicly available shrek images is not what’s happening here, this is downloading every shrek movie
As far as the ethics of piracy, my stance is that The current model where we are essentially paying for someone to hit copy and paste is inherently broken and we need to move to a model based on commissions/grants etc where the artists are being paid to make the works, ideally through public funds.
As far as the current reality around the AI companies, that Arthas stand was one gamestop had a license to display in their store provided by Blizzard to promote their game. The copyrighted material you “trained on” was provided for piblic access. These companies aren’t training off of publicly available information, as I was saying, they’re torrenting the full copyrighted material in the exact same way a traditional pirate would, The only difference is what they’re doing with it afterwards.
Edit: I don’t know if there’s evidence of Midjourney’s developers doing it specifically but Meta absolutely has so it’s a pretty safe assumption.
I mean if you paid for a copy of wc3 to find out about Arthas then no, if you downloaded the game illegally then yes. These companies are often torrenting content just like we would just instead of consuming it directly they’re feeding it to their slop printers to train them. I’m all for piracy, including in this context, but if copyright is a going to be a thing and going to be enforced against individuals pirating treats to consume then it sure as shit should be enforced against the corporations pirating huge amounts of content to train their energy sucking crap factories lol
Happy Birthday .zip, hope were stick around for years to come
Also 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9
RPS really has gone to shit I see
I mean you probably are just going to have to run the games at 1080p instead of 4k until you can afford a better gpu
I mean there’d still be clocks and they’d still read the same way, there just wouldn’t be any difference between what they say in different parts of the world.
I imagine not too differently to the way you do now, except the numbers would be different. “Every day the Sun comes up at 4pm and sets 12 hours later. Other places it rises and sets at different times. i think the bigger issue for everyone would be 12am hitting during the day. You can’t just say you’re going to do something on a given Tuesday if every day switches over at 2pm or whatever. You’d probably need some kind of time zone either way to handle it.
SteamOS has been able to update the bios on the Steam Deck forever, I’m assuming since launch. The new patch is just for updating the bios when SteamOS is installed on other devices like the ROG Ally
The thing is I’d much rather they do things like this, where the ads are opt in and the monetized features are mostly just extra for if you are enjoying the platform, than something like introducing ads you have to pay to remove or locking core features behind a paywall.
I don’t think game streaming is ever going to take off the way they want it to, especially when things like the switch exist. Internet is just too crappy in too many places for it to ever be a better experience than a console, or in many cases a phone.
