I tried using Google to search reddit the other day and it didn’t work.
I would usually say this is going too far, but this winter didn’t seem nearly as cold as usual, and that was concerning. Feels like in the next two decades the planet might not have winter… And might have a deadly season that was formerly summer.
Meanwhile on the r/JordanPeterson sub right now, there’s a complaint about leftwing bots on r/millennials

…oh r/millennials says there’s two subs… r/millennials and r/millenials with one n… Maybe that’s part of what’s going on.
And they love to work right?
Love to work! They’re always saying that!
You could run a cabbage, but if everyone votes for them they’ve pulled it off. Voting is the difference between winning and losing.
Yeah… Surviving that basically won him the election.
Not if everyone making this assumption gets out and votes, rather than staying at home and assuming they’ve already lost. The left outnumber the right after all. Losing is a turnout issue.
I was talking about the photonic chips from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, but looking into it the last update on that was four years ago.
I know they were entangling photons, so there’s probably lots of research and parts to work on, but still, maybe it’s just not moving forwards.
I’m not that familiar with the technology, but the benefits seem worthy of more news than they get.
What are IBM’s efforts like?
If these guys gave a shit they’d focus on light based chips, which are in very early stages, but will save a lot of power.
This is definitely a better memory than remembering James Woods was in this scene.
I hope someone sues Microsoft.
Hopefully they’ll end up with an incredible amount of user telemetry telling them that they’ve created the least adopted version of Windows in the history of the company.
That’s what Windows 11 deserves, they need a punch in the face from users.
Haven’t read the article because I’m not interested in an app I don’t use, but does it mean browser fingerprint? Because that’s slang for the fonts/cookies/user-data of your browser, and lots of apps have access to that.
This is why you don’t rig a fair system… Because your ‘rig’ may one day be used against you.

Most countries are corrupt backwards dictatorships… So that might be the best standard to use.
Or through blackmail.
Oof, programmers calling LLMs “AI” - that’s embarrassing. Glorified text generators don’t need ethics, what’s the risk? Making the Internet’s worst texts available? Who cares.
I’m from an era when the Anarchists Cook Book, and The Unabombers Manifesto were both widely available - and I’m betting they still are.
There’s no obligation to protect people from “dangerous text” - there might be an obligation to allow people access to them though.
