Idk which was first, but it was either blue ba dee or walkin on the sun. Both were absolute bangers to me as a kid.

They are still around in S.E. VA
Seconding the above, I want to say I paid $60 in a pretty average city.
The store I went to is called Jos-a-bank, feel free to look them up but any higher end men’s fine clothing store should have a tailor on site at all times.
There are also dedicated tailor shops you can try looking for one of those.
I don’t think places like dillards or Macy’s will do alterations but I could be wrong.
Worst case the place you go may tell you something like “he only works Tuesdays and Saturdays” or something like that, so you may want to keep trying to get them on the phone, but I’ve not been told that before.
My first email was Firstname_Lastname@aol.com. When aol became insufferable and a challenger appeared, I made Firstname.Lastname@gmail.com.
Gmail lets you add "."s anywhere and it’ll still work, so all my spammy or whatever things I sign up for are Firs.T.Nam.E.L.Astnam.E@gmail.com or some random variation. Makes it easy to delete all the junk.
Blue, no, yellow.
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH
But… It’s a legume?!
It really sucks the joy out of listening to those songs.
Does it tho?
Really?
Why are you so mentally invested in that song and other people’s opinions of it?
…the US knew about it but allowed it to happen…
I hear this, and in hindsight it makes sense to say, but put yourself back in the mindset of the late 90s. The US was a fucking giant. The world saw what happened after pearl harbor, I believe it was less of “allowing it to happen” and more of “we were so arrogant that we couldn’t believe anyone would be dumb enough to actually do it”.
Maybe, maybe not. Just depends TBH.
“flavor” lol
This just made me think… What exactly defines a soup vs beverage? Solid matter? A bloody Mary is a soup. I’d like to be a bloody Mary.
But in reality I’d probably be cream of something soup, which now sounds more like a terrible beverage than a soup.
I would recommend staring with a tax on income (ANY income with NO deductions) over $1M/year, maybe 10%.
Well it’s already 37%, so 10% wouldn’t be nearly enough. I’d suggest more like 80%, and since the progressive brackets are what they are you could add another at 5M with 99% tax.
I mean not really no. Even without any artificial limits, as people gain education and move out of poverty, birth rates naturally go down.
In fact birth rates in some places are decreasing as we speak.
Allowing everyone access to education and a UBI would cut birth rates. Going below 1.5 or so would actually be undesirable.
Which direction do you move your finger to access the next song on your phone when. Looking at a play list.
Your finger moves up then taps the one you want.
You could just as easily say that next should be up.
Both are wrong.
Next should be left, volume should be up / down.
Having grown up in the tape era, the right button being next / fast forward just make sense.
I can see on a screen that you’d scroll down to get to the bottom of a playlist, but isn’t your finger moving up?
This is the classic problem of inverted vertical controls or not?
Just avoid it altogether and make the back / skip button left / right respectively, and volume be up / down which just makes obvious sense.
The knob and buttons are separate controls. One controlled the frequency on the radio, one controlled the inputs.
The question was: which one do you think the knob controlled, frequency or inputs?
See, my favorite is GNU, for “GNU’s Not Unix”.
I’ve even heard people say “Double-yoos dot”, and even that compressed version is still more syllables than the full thing.
Actually they are all the same, and none of them are, that’s why they are all the same. The plan was made before fire codes required updated sprinkler systems or something and since they keep reusing the same plans they all are fire hazards.
A fire fighter buddy of mine was ranting one night and I caught the tail end of the discussion.
Lol. That was 2007. I feel so old.
