4·4 months agoI had a lady I was helping with tech support ask me about her lightbulbs. I just told her I didn’t know the answer. She said “well you should know, it’s electronic.”
How is this the real world experience?

11·5 months agoYes I know this, the reason that I asked this question is because it is a departure from the rules laid out here. Oftentimes we say “the mirror” even though we are not referring to any specific mirror.
I’d say it’s still a win, and I’m hoping they expand upon it.
Actually find my is specifically excluded from the 2fa requirement. There may be a prompt but you can proceed to the find my iPhone screen without the code.
Most people just use a package manager the vast vast majority of time. People don’t typically compile from source or figure out different file types.

5·7 months agoWhat do people use pastebin for anyway? I’ve never felt the need to use it or something like it.
Partiful / evite. There’s not much out there that’s a good simple replacement.
I feel like Linux is good for power users or users like your grandfather who are not very tech savvy. The issues arise with users savvy enough to get themselves into trouble but not enough to understand how to fix it or how to do a slightly more advanced task.
