We walk around with a little rectangle in our pocket that gives us access to the sum total of human knowledge, but we mostly use it for looking at funny captioned pictures, the same pictures over and over just with different captions.

I was on Digg before switching to Reddit 14 years ago and once people were told Reddit existed there was a landslide of people switching because Digg admins were being such jackasses.

I’m sure there are people grabbing constant captures so they can put out an unedited version.

I use “guys” even when address a group of women. I feel it’s basically become a gender neutral term.

It would make sense in context, if you’re talking about a video or video tape. Otherwise it would get confused with a cassette tape player.

Why do you care more about what the law requires you to do than you care about simply treating people decently? You can recognize a person’s rights even if the law doesn’t demand it.

And why do I get the feeling that you wouldn’t recognize the civil rights of those who you do view as having “immutable characteristics” if the law didn’t tell you that you had to?

The law is there because of people like you, to make you recognize peoples rights because you seem to be incapable of doing so otherwise.
