Pretty cool, now if only more people would start using it…

That’s an impressive track record.
One presidency is more than a full-time job. Whilst I do like him cut the poor guy some slack.
University prof? Witty? Sharp tongue?
I’m down.
An astronaut for president? That’s actually pretty catchy.
Also seems like an interesting guy outside of that.
Seems like an interesting guy, and fits my two basic criteria: not being a geriatric and being a reasonable person. I’ve limited my expectations to avoid disappointment :'D
From the bottom of my heart - I hate it.
For some reason it caught on as the go-to messaging app for casual conversations for folks my generation (in my country at least).
Deleted my account roughly a year ago.
This depends so much on the source of the insecurity. However, we have to adress one thing first - you shouldn’t have to feel bad being around a friend. If doing these things bothers you, then don’t, for your sake and theirs. Feeling bad around your friend will (as you yourself said) end your friendship over time. There has to be space for two in a relation.
For me at least, honesty is key in a real friendship. It is the most basic aspect of respect, and if something is bothering you, say so. No need to be accusatory (i.e you do this or that) and instead frame it from your own perspective, dropping it in natural conversation (“It really makes my day when…”, “It really bothers me when…”). Someone who values you will pick up on these things.
Quite a few places, particularly if it was coupled with a decent job. Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, S. Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and mayyybe the US depending on how enticing the job was.
Some basic QOL-fixes such as asthma, eyesight and allergies. Fix the propensity for alzheimers and heart disease. After that, probably not much.
Exactly the same situation for me. What I miss most perhaps is play-by-post roleplay communities. A lot of them have straight up died after many of us left reddit, and we never managed to move them elsewhere.
Yeah. I want to donate directly towards the development of FF, but I can’t. I know several other people who of a similar disposition.
In Sweden, where I live, 78.5% of paper packaging put into the market was recycled for materials (as opposed to recycled for energy a.k.a burning it in a power plant)

At least where I live even the interior lining and lid are now made from cellulose fibers and as such the packaging is (a) fully renewable and (b) the materials can be reused for other paper-esque products.
and also a good moderator from what I’ve seen
A good/skilled driver is not necessarily a safe driver & vice versa.
For the pinnacle of that statement, look up the “suicide evo” on YT.
I prefer lemmy but miss the niche communities. The Swedish national community for instance, roleplaying communities, niche game communities etc.
You have any tips? My power consumption on battery is ~30% higher on linux than they were on windows
Yeah, I honestly give very few shits about the political opinions of the lemmy devs as long as it doesn’t taint the project itself -and if it did at some point in the future, forking an open-source project is stupidly easy.
I even donate a smidge of money to the development effort via librepay - man does need it to live after all.
Dessalines & Nutomic put a lot of effort into building and maintaining the lemmy codebase. I respect that.
Yeah, it’s the same thing that lets us have a site like lemmy
