Is “dragged” the new “slammed”?
- a few git repos (pushed and backup in the important stuff) with all docker compose, keys and such (the 5%)
Um, maybe I’m misunderstanding, but you’re storing keys in git repositories which are where…?
And remember, if you haven’t tested your backups then you don’t have backups!
Yeah but the current build of libvegs has some conflicts with libfruit, so if you need to use both you have to build libvegs in a different directory and then simlink it in /lib.
So the “New word…” box seems pretty open… it accepts Unicode characters like Miscellaneous Symbols. I assume any valid Unicode character would work… I haven’t tried any of the unprintable/control characters yet.
I wonder how much filtering there is… what would happen if little bobby tables showed up?

damming is when you build a wall across a river
Well… maybe. My response was mostly tongue-in-cheek… it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if Costco was just selling Christmas kitsch in July with no other considerations.
Yeah, this is a loss for user privacy.
Concord…?
But also:
Even if it’s a competent hero shooter is it also… another hero shooter in a crowded market
This should have read “it is also…”
the first underewater downvoted trailer
Dude, get a proofreader ffs.
It’s Christmas in July, duh. They even made a movie.

Flatpak is not a container and should not be thought of as such for security/privacy purposes:
In general though we try to avoid using the term container when speaking about Flatpak as it tends to cause comparisons with Docker and rkt, comparisons which quickly stop making technical sense due to the very different problem spaces these technologies try to address. And thus we prefer using the term sandboxing.

It can provide container-like functions if specifically configured for that, but that’s not normal and it shouldn’t be relied on as a security barrier.
This is specifically caused by an update for CrowdStrike’s Falcon antivirus software, which is designed for large organizations. This won’t affect personal computers unless they’ve specifically chosen to install Falcon.
This sort of fix might not be accessible to a lot of employees who don’t have admin access on their company laptops, and if the laptop can’t be accessed remotely by IT then the options are very limited. Trying to walk a lot of nontechnical users through this over the phone won’t go very well.
If all the computers stuck in boot loop can’t be recovered… yeah, that’s a lot of cost for a lot of businesses. Add to that all the immediate impact of missed flights and who knows what happening at the hospitals. Nightmare scenario if you’re responsible for it.
This sort of thing is exactly why you push updates to groups in stages, not to everything all at once.
Wow, I didn’t realize CrowdStrike was widespread enough to be a single point of failure for so much infrastructure. Lot of airports and hospitals offline.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) imposed the global ground stop for airlines including United, Delta, American, and Frontier.
Flights grounded in the US.
Plus whatever he’s been eating in that swamp.
