I, as an American, write “The US” the refer to the country specifically to avoid confusion. But there’s not really another good demonym that’s not an slur. “Estadosunidenses” is too much of a mouthful and “Statesman” has another meaning.

I read the question. OP seems to be asking where to get the best burger. Presumably, they are asking about chains because they want something available nationwide. But, as stated:

• Most chains aren’t nationwide.

• Most chains aren’t the best place to get burgers.

Now, I’m all for narrow-minded pedantry, and there’s a time for answering a poorly-phrased question literally; but I was actually trying to be helpful, here, by reading critically and giving OP a useful answer to the question: “When visiting the US, where should I go for the best cheeseburger?”

I think she’s awesome in general. I think her service record and voting record make her a palatable or even desirable candidate for a wide swath of the population, not just Democrats — I’m not one myself, though I vote for more Democrats than any other party’s candidates.
