  • As an EV owner, I love my EV. My state had a tax rebate that paid for my home charger, and my SO installed it (though it can be very costly to get a power line run to your parking spot if you can’t do it yourself). It’s easier to drive (1-petal driving, regenerative breaking), I like how quiet it is, and I can go (almost) anywhere roadtrip-wise and have chargers available. However, there is a need for more chargers out in the world as there are places it’s hard to travel because the chargers have too much distance between them.

As a pedestrian, I wish more people drive electric cars because my walking path is so noisy (and sometimes smelly) on the main road because of the ICE cars. I would prefer a world where we didn’t need cars, but I commute 30 miles at the moment, so that’s out of the question for me.

  • I left from Reddit after the AMA with u/spez and over the API. I knew at that point he wasn’t relenting on the third-party apps and the loss of access for me personally, but mostly for the deaf and blind community, showed me that the CEO had no intention of putting accessibility over profit. I was an Apollo user and I was looking for an alternative while continuing to browse Reddit - using them as a resource, as I always had - and I was seeing censorship abound. Reddit was blocking mentions of alternative sites and blocking discussion about Spez, which just solidified my decision.

I used those last few months of Apollo to help with the protests (John Oliver in /pics) while exploring other options (I started with Mastadon simply because they had an app). When that was over, I went full fediverse and never looked back (okay, I did participate in the r/Place that they ran soon after to contribute my pixels to “fuck spez” one last time).

  • I am someone who has had very large breasts and fairly small breasts in my lifetime. When my boobs were big, wearing bras was manageability and comfort. They were heavy and hurt my back and were always in the way. In addition, it was hard to do any sports or be active without being, what I called, double strapped: having a bra with a sports bra over the top. This is how I got through high school.

Now that I’ve both had a breast reduction and lost a lot of weight, my boobs are smaller and I don’t wear a bra often. When I do, it’s a vanity thing, I think my boobs look better under some clothes when wearing a bra, and a utility thing, like when I’m working out or doing something strenuous. Also, I wear one when I’m at work because it seems more appropriate.

  • This has been amazing! So much fun, and everyone was so considerate of others’ art! Thanks to everyone who helped with the little Pokemon area with the Bulbasaur! I loved the additions (Cubone was my favorite).

It’s also cool how people helped to fill the white areas.

Thank you everyone who was involved with creating, fixing, and improving this event. It was a real reminder why I am here in the first place- the community spirit! 🥰

  • Obama said the same once, exploring the “what if” of if he was elected more than twice.

From what I can tell, Obama said he probably could have beaten Trump if he had run for a third term AFTER the 2016 election was over. Unless you are referring to something different.

    (1) neither stand by what some of their more extreme supporters have done, (2) hence some of the people in Trump’s list of allies, who do not fit the racial image promoted by said followers.

On the first point, do I really need to quote the things Trump has said about the January 6th protesters? And those who participated in the Charlottesville white nationalist march in 2017?

On the second point, regardless of many of his supporters being racists, Trump knows he has to still win over black and Hispanic voters in the political game. And why would he reject a lap dog like Ben Carson or Justice Thomas regardless of their skin color?

Your last sentence was too long and I don’t understand what you were trying to say, except: 1. Biden and possibly Harris are the only one on the “Trump wants the send to jail list” that make sense to you, and 2. Not every crime will be immune under the new SCOTUS ruling.

    1. Me too, but I know why Trump added them: they are detractors from his “big lie” scheme and/or have criticized him publicly. 2. I understand that in theory, but with a corrupt judicial system, rules can be bent. There are plenty of articles out there outlining how, within currently legal means, the president (whoever they are) can be immune to doing harm to anyone. That, combined with the other reasons I’ve stated, and a myriad of others (Hitler talking points, for example), is the basis for my stance that Trump reaches super villain status.

  • That’s not “his” evil plan

Fair, but as the puppet in this theater of government takeover, he is culpable.

which doesn’t even include the president for life part, that was wishful thinking out loud

Clearly, him wishing to be a dictator does not concern you…

the part about jailing opponents is mainly related to those who exploited due process in the political sphere in the past eight years

Can you outline these for me, with some references? The list is:

    • Joe Biden
    • Kamala Harris
    • Mitch McConnell
    • Chuck Schumer
    • Mike Pence
    • Liz Cheney

are we really going to hold someone accountable just because of their toxic fandom?

Absolutely, when he stands by them.

  • …the theory that Earths surface is the post-apocalyptic “stone-age” setting of The Flintstones…

I am going to have to do some research on this. So, did the rich go all Jurassic park with their infinity money to distract the masses, then when the flood waters rose, they forgot to keep the power to the containment on? Wasn’t there an episode where the Jetsons meet the Flinstones?
