Or here’s a thought, put a stop to the thieving.

Sounds like the thief won. Made you change your habits.
I’m with you. They’re literally taking your sustenance. This is way serious.
I once read an article that had ideas for 100 doors. They were clever. One would only open if you knocked on it. Unfortunately that’s the only one I remember, but maybe you could consider others.
In their defense you would think just being against fascism might be enough. Turns out it isn’t.
I worked with a guy who’s wife had just had a baby and the baby was sick. The guy was very good at his job but was working from home without really asking permission. We have some leeway in this matter but technically he didn’t clear it. His supervisor really had it in for him and was trying very hard to get him fired for falsifying his time card. I don’t know why he didn’t like him, but the supervisor was a real ass. It may have been racist motivation, but I’m not sure.
I should point out that I had asked this guy to do some work for me that I didn’t have the capability to do and this guy approached it in such a unique way that the customer and some universities were really interested in his work. This is a defense contractor environment where every working hour has to be accounted for. Whenever I asked the guy a question whether via email or telephone, he always responded immediately. It was all computer code so I didn’t see a problem with this.
When he came into work and told me what was going on I immediately contact the manager on his behalf.
Well bottom line is that management pretty much dropped the subject and the supervisor was walked out of the facility. Turns out he had been falsifying his own time card the whole time. How’s that for hypocrisy?
Justice served.
But not at every place right? Hell, I have one car right now that still has a warranty and they give me a rental car. It’s awesome service but you don’t get that from a smaller place.
Some places DO offer to take you somewhere, which is super cool. But face it, to take you back home and then bring you back again when the car is finished is cost prohibitive for a normal shop. They would have to have at least one extra vehicle to do this, a dedicated driver and insurance to cover what is essentially a completely separate service. They are a car repair service, not a shuttle service.
And as I understand it, they SCOTUS get to decide what counts as official. So theoretically, they could decide, for example, that killing a political opponent is official. After all someone who disagrees might effect the smooth running of the government. And so on.
Correction, 50% of VOTING Americans are fascist. It’s the only thing that keeps me going.
Because in America we believe strongly in our rights: specifically the right to tell people they don’t have the right to speak any language they want. It’s called freedom man!
Wouldn’t the phone have to have your fingerprint stored in order to compare it to the one scanned?
Don’t know anything about this from personal experience, but I thought I heard a report a while back about a fairly large number of hikers in the UK injured or killed by cows. So I’m guessing, not as dangerous as crocodiles but still best to be careful.
Sure is. Thanks.
Any opinions on Opera? I used it 1000 years ago. I liked it but then they started charging or something and switched to Firefox. Then Brave which was my favorite but is a problem I guess. I used Chrome for a short time until I learned it was Google crap. So now I’m back to Firefox. I see Opera is still around though.
I heard that a while ago many VPN services were bought by the very people you use a VPN to protect against. How do you know which ones are safe?
Both, depending on the task.
For instance, I have trouble taking notes while working on my car. Fingers dirty, device runs out of battery and needs power cord, no good program for combining pics and text and so on. It’s just easier to write on scratch paper.
But if I order something online, I just screen shot the receipt.
Peanut butter and banana sandwich.
When I was a kid, an older kid peer-pressured me into smoking a cigarette. I smoked the whole thing and quickly noped out of that. Can’t believe I made the best decision of my life at the age of 6.
If you’re happy then it seems there really wasn’t a problem in the first place.
