Nope. I think the drive just died at a bad time honestly. I’ve had issues with it in the passed and the computer itself came from an e-scrap pile because the water pump for the CPU cooler was dead. Has worked great since swapping that out until the nvme died. Even after installing the new nvme and reinstalling EOS I couldnt see the old nvme.

Can’t help but I just did this myself. Was a fairly fresh install so I didn’t lose anything other than have to reconfigure some stuff and install some things.

Buuuuut

What happened dto me was something crashed during the update and my computer went to a black screen. So I just left it for a bit to hopefully finish even without the display. Turned the computer off and my nvme was just gone. Ended up having to get a new one.

This is actually great to hear. I’ll probably still ending up holding off until I have a spare phone to test with just because wiping my phone and redoing everything just isn’t something I’m up for right now though. Thank you very much for the info.

I e been debating switching the graphene for weeks weeks now. But I just know I’m gonna end up installing Google play services on it and completely defeat the whole point of the OS. I’m probably gonna buy the pixel 8 when it comes out so once I have that I’ll put graphene on my current phone and see how I like it.

The way I heard it the insurance companies lobbied for seatbelt laws.

Something about if you die in an accident the payout could be larger than if you survived.

Opposite for motorcycles and helmets. On a bike you aren’t eligible for the same death payout as someone in a car so it’s cheaper if you die.

That is so bizarre to me. According to this article, Destiny 2 was already playable on Linux when it was officially ported to Google Stadia, and no one, not even Bungie, can explain why they won’t support it on Linux or Steam Deck, much less ban a player for trying. That’s crazy.

Yeah I have no idea either. From what I’ve seen online it’s something to do with the anti cheat battleye but that runs on Linux so it’s basically just them telling the Linux community to go pound sand.

Can’t answer your question since it’s not something I ever thought about but I recently, within the last 2 weeks, started the same thing. I tried Mint and EndeavorOS so far and honestly I probably won’t leave EndeavorOS again. I installed it first. Confused the fuck out of myself because years ago I use Ubuntu so I had that like hard coded in me and couldn’t get my head around arch. After playing with Mint for a week or so I’m back on EndeavorOS and I love it. I really really want to switch my main PC over but I have a Plex server and audio book shelf server running there as well as atleast 1 game that playing on Linux just isn’t possible since Bungie will ban you for running destiny 2 on Linux.

I feel attacked.

As someone new to Linux the fact that I could just check a box on steam and suddenly I could install and run the witcher 3 blew my mind. I had no idea. Last I checked on Linux gaming the solution was install windows 😂

Honestly no idea. I ended up switching over to EndeavorOS today so I need to get it set back up again. 😂

There is a windows theme in the Mint themer that looks like it is spot on to look just like windows. I love the look of linux over windows though so didn’t try it.

I tried Endeavor for a bit before switching to Mint. May have just my me being to new to be jumping into Endeavor but I struggled and switch to mint within a couple days. was a beautiful distro though. Will probably jump back at some point since I’m running Linux on a spare PC right next to my main windows PC.

Rasies hand. Finally jumping back into Linux after years of Windows. Didn’t really think of the gaming impact other than “so many games don’t work on Linux so I can’t use my main machine.” I’m lucky enough to have 3 computers currently even though 1 of them is a third gen i7 and the other I got for free out of the trash so it’s specs aren’t great either. Enoug for me to install Endeavor then Mint to see how it goes gaming on them.
