Nostalgia is a helluva drug for that one. Shit was unreal when it came out

Eh, just wasn’t made for you. Not everyone needs to listen to death metal either.
Godspeed on that recovery!
For sure, you definitely know your relationship better than I do. Keep an eyeball on how much the drama and loyalty tests, etc, pop up tho.
No shade, rooting for ye, all the best 🤙
Absolutely wild lmao. I understand how it starts with opposite schedules but damn. My girl clocks in an hour earlier than me but also wakes up at least a couple before me for her morning ritual. I literally don’t even hear her alarms at this point. You know I’m getting them cuddles.
Although hard to be encouraging getting them cuddles here – your tolerance for intolerable behavior from your significant other is beyond what I’d endure. Obviously just seeing a small slice of the relationship, but yeah nah I don’t play like that.
After a few relationships my tolerance for bullshit drama is mighty low. Love my chill gal who down to earth and behaves like a reasonable adult.
Never change, Miyazaki.
Hades 2 been hitting for me. Nice being able to feel like playing Hades for the first time again. Super Giant doesn’t miss.
I’m flummoxed for sure. I need a computer to be a bit of a power house, ideally well equipped for music production software and live performance, DJ software, graphic design/animation/illustration, and at least for the desktop gaming. Been in the market for a laptop so I can take at least the music & design production on the go, but damn I hate laptop shopping.
Unsuuuure if Linux is compatible with the graphic/music production software I’m working with, or if there are viable work arounds. Windows 11 looks like a dumpster fire I do not wish to support. I’d really like to avoid Apple as I have my own grievances there too. Windows 10 obviously seems on the way out.
Long story long, feeling a bit lost on how best to proceed. If anyone uses Linux for similar creative endeavors, would love to hear your roses and thorns on the matter. Certainly open to recommendations for a sturdy war horse of a lappy as well.
Bookmarking this page so I can learn modern sailing techniques. Audiophiles who sail the seven seas, please teach me your ways! My most hasn’t hit the surf in a hot minute.
Pretty much this. I like to DJ, mostly a hobbyist over paying gigs these days, and have plenty of tunes ripped from the tube. Now I have the fun task of trying to replace everything with higher quality versions. Shitty rips are fine enough for a house party on a humble audio system, but proper venues with subs and high fidelity audio setup make it obvious you ripped from YouTube.
In a perfect world I would love to buy what I use. Problem is I would need an insane budget to grab what I want. I listen to a lot of a music.
Those were the days man…
I really gotta hit Outer Wilds. Comes up enough I’m beginning to feel embarrassed for having missed it thus far
Can confirm, impressive game, especially considering the solo dev. I seem to be shit at early army building. I think it’s too easy to leave on FF for too long 😂
Finally getting the hang of it. Caught my first couple wins. Very fun building broken decks. So much more Balatro to play.
Still on a pretty old Galaxy 9, been putting off the upgrade forever. Not even sure what the cool kids are using these days. Need to hit that research phase a bit
Likely sound like cranky old man but I’ll be catching phones with a jack as long as I can! Not mad about having the option for wireless, but I’m a bit of a purist.
Plus once in a blue moon I’ll DJ without Wi-Fi and use the phone to pull up a tune I don’t have in my physical storage. Much harder to do that without 3.5mm jack.
Roller Town. Largely because I’m trying to introduce more people to the fever dream of a movie that is Roller Town.
Free on YouTube, highly recommend if you’re into comedy and absurdity. Just go in blind, have fun!
Excellent points, appreciate the write up. Better said than I could myself.
I will also note that in my personal experience phone was more of a hail mary when I’d be doing like a wedding reception or private party and needed a tune for client that wasn’t already in my USBs. When the tip depends on it, yes, I absolutely DJ with the phone.
As a DJ and audiophile in general, yeah I’m not thrilled on headphones using batteries and Bluetooth. I’ll give up my hard-line when I’m dead.
Sure, some wireless for exercise or casual use is fine. Full deal breaker if I’m performing though.
One step at a time, one day at a time. You’ll be back on that skateboard before ya know it!
