Really? Because there’s only one issue in the repo…

Look at the girth of that dude’s index finger. No wonder it works for him.
That would just be a life philosophy like Stoicism. Religion implies there are non falsifiable beliefs involved.
Devil’s advocate, it’s not optional if you want to keep your max cape, which is probably the best QoL item in the game
Wow that’s horrible. They’re using c++.
Yes, but I’d prefer incompetence rather than being deliberately anti-developer.
As a js dev, I will gymnastically take that as a compliment
That’s good to hear, but I wouldn’t choose to use a language that took 5 years to get that right, when most languages have it from day 1.
You have to manually provide a seed every time you want a random number. Gophers will defend this with their dying breath.
Well the problem with the Texas power grid is that it exists in the first place. Still, when it comes to safety, you have to multiply how bad it is by the number of people it will affect, and divide by the amount of power generated to get the right picture. There is a media bias towards rare, intense events which causes people to think they are more common than they really are. This explains people’s views on nuclear power, school shootings, terrorism, shark attacks etc.
Statistically nuclear is by far the safest form of power generation. Of course, it would be good to locate it in areas that are not disaster prone. As far as I understand it though, the issue with nuclear is the cost. But in a perfect world we would need something to smooth out the inconsistency of renewables, either battery tech or something like nuclear that you can turn on and off as needed.
The thing is, I don’t actually disagree with it. I don’t care what other people do if it doesn’t affect me, I just understand why and I’m willing to say it out loud.
“It’s so easy for me everyone, look how much better I am than you.” Proving my point but go on.
Ignore the reasons they give you. It’s literally 100% ego. They think it’s harder so doing it makes them better than everyone else.
Edit: They hated him because he spoke the truth.
You may be right about that, but the implication that there is an exact overlap between the least skilled and the unemployed is not true. Plenty of devs got laid off even by the most selective companies.
The beauty of a threaded conversation platform is that you can just close threads you’re not interested in. Or, apparently, start a new thread bitching about them.
Not sure why this is such a common perception. Most of the software devs I know are pretty average people other than being computer nerds. I met one trans CS student in college but that was it.
I assume they’re talking about using a washcloth or loofah, but I’m not sure as I’m also a committed bare-hander.
Here, there and everywhere is incredibly underrated in my opinion. And since I haven’t seen them mentioned, Revolution and Think for Yourself are both great.
