I would recommend keeping NextCloud always-on - this way your devices will be able to take advantage of background syncing without needing to remember to WoL. This also makes it more useful for other guests, should you choose to share your instance.

We had some efflorescence in our basement, and it turned out to be caused by a water leak from the first floor. The efflorescence itself was no problem, we just scrubbed it away, but it’s worth checking around the area for anywhere water might be coming in unexpectedly (leaky roof/pipe/window/etc).
