In 08 he had the opportunity to “save” the DNC. Instead he viewed the entire concept as outdated and ignored the party, instead handling everything internally on his team
If Obama (or more recently Biden) had worked on the DNC and tried to build it up after Hillary’s people burnt it all down (once in 08, again in 16) we wouldnt have had to suffer thru trump and would be seeing the end of a.progressive presidents second term right now.
If he’d have done that and lived up to 08 campaign promises, then there probably wouldn’t be any “red states” left by now.
Obama didn’t break the party, but he had a chance to fix an already broken party and instead just ignored it. We’re still paying for it

Most people in my area just hook up to city services instead of sink more money into their systems for substantial repair. I don’t think there’s many others left at this point, except maybe the 100+ year old houses whose plumbing wouldn’t survive modern pressure.

If I post articles, it’s because there was nothing on Lemmy to read and I’m pulling articles off a handful of webpages I went to instead. Like, pretty sure 99% of my articles are from the AP…
There’s just not really anything pro Biden out there anymore, which might be why less political articles are getting posted.
So seriously, you don’t even have to post anything, but go look at some news sites and see how hard it is to find anything about Biden except pleas for him to stand down, or him saying he won’t listen to anyone.

A couple spaced out thru a day tho will start getting more interaction, go for quality not quantity and hope eventually other users start submitting stuff for the quantity part.
