I personally recommend the stable version. It has integrated Adblock and sponsorblock. The dev is very responsive when issues arise like YouTube breaking stuff.

Used Reddit for years. There’s no way the percentage is that low.

No large corporation in the Microsoft ecosystem will ditch Windows due to Recall because it will be turned off. This kind of setting can be managed / customized with Group Policy tools and MDM settings.

Recall is targeted for home based users, not enterprise customers.

Worked for me last week

Use Smartube. Follow the instructions under “easiest”. You can use it logged out and benefit from no ads and sponsorblock.

It is, but like so many things in our current landscape, it’s also exhausting.

Her account was likely compromised. It wouldn’t be possible to say how without more info. Could have been that her password was hacked (guessed), or could have been that her session was cookie hijacked where they wouldn’t have had to exploit the password.

I don’t know if IG has 2 factor authentication, but that could be something to look into. Also ensure the new password is not dictionary based. Use a password manager like bitwarden.

I’m also not interested in crappy, privacy-invading, ad-shoving YouTube apps, which is why I mentioned SmartTube. In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s FOSS and has AdBlock & SponsorBlock integrated. It’s designed for TV use. If Tube Archivist fits your need though, that’s great.

I’m genuinely curious: do you re-watch enough YT videos that you need to archive your subscriptions? Or have I misunderstood the use of the plugin? I’m using SmartTube for TV YT content and it’s fantastic.
