  • I can relate to a lot of this! I’m 41 and just got diagnosed this year. It explains a lot of my life! I started medication this spring with Concerta and it helped but then I built up a tolerance to it and it stopped working. After spending months trying different meds I’m getting help with Focalin XR, but I’m terrified I’ll build up a tolerance to it as well so I’m trying to get as much done on a certification as I can while it’s working. Have meds helped you?

Wait, just so I’m understanding, the dock works with the LG TV if you connect your laptop or Surface Pro, but not your Steam Deck? If so, it sounds like there’s either a setting on your Steam Deck that needs to be changed or the Deck itself is faulty.

Does the Deck work with other HDMI monitors?

  • I’ve seen one or two interesting videos posted to Lemmy from PeerTube in the ~6 months I’ve been here. I think both were from someone called Linux Mom or something like that and I’m not sure but it looked like they weren’t posted by her but by someone else uploading her videos from YouTube to the service. One video was her showing how to use a device to backup old game cartridges and the other was a video for Linux beginners.

That’s about all I’ve seen that grabbed my attention, and the second was only because I liked the creator from the first. But again, I don’t know if it was an official upload that she supported, and if it wasn’t that’s not a good way to attract creators.

  • Wall Street would probably say 15-30,000+. I think the point of the surprise is that actually it’s possible to be massively profitable and have good products without needing massive teams of people. How many mediocre/bad AAA games have teams larger than Valve’s entire staff? More isn’t always better, sometimes it’s just more.

I haven’t read this article, because yeah, I’ve seen this same basic headline over a dozen times in the past week on Lemmy, but I think it’s a testament to what can happen when a private company doesn’t have a lot of shareholders and is run by people who just want the company to run well and be profitable. They don’t have to chase some unsustainable Wall Street expectation of x% growth every quarter.
