I mean he’s an amazing guy, but I also don’t think anyone would blame him if he held out some assets for his own personal projects. Also as much as it sucks, games are only as good as their actual execution. That’s why soulless asset flips fail, they don’t actually have a soul to them and tend to be badly designed. He definitely has that over them and can make a consistent theme unlike them.

The rest of systemd is an ecosystem that are optional packages you can install on top of it. They are not essential or required.

Pretty sure I only actually saw it being used by Google anyways. I love it for native applications on Android, but couldn’t care less about it on the web.

That’s weird as fuck. Major distros use it because it’s the most functional. If the other ones were as good, they’d be used. There is no “lobbying” lol, it just makes the most technical sense and is significantly more than just an init system. I’d rather users have a system that “just works” instead, since arbitrary choices aren’t necessarily a good thing.
