Steam itself has an offline mode, even if they sell online-only games. I use it pretty often.

I can’t swim today- I bought the last two monster hunter games and all of their dlc for fifteen dollars total
I had to run an alias every time I wanted to change the brightness on my laptop, and it defaulted to max brightness every time it was restarted.
I get that if I was a better person I could just pull myself by my bootstraps and teach myself to sync the brightness buttons on the keyboard to work again but I’m not. On windows it just worked.
I wouldn’t say the humor replies on Australian slang (outside of a couple sidequests), it’s just not funny. That being said, you could try the DLC which takes place in claptrap’s brain and thus doesn’t have any space australians.
I get what you’re saying about the floatiness, but I liked it as a gimmick with the air boosting.
You should try the Pre-Sequel! I feel like it further improved on the combat and each of the playable characters is awesome in their own way. At least at the top end, “ultimate vault hunter mode” or whatever it’s called, seemed more balanced in terms of enemy health instead of being reliant on priming every enemy with slag.
Vermintide 2. When life gets hard, you can count on the Ubersreik 5 to be harder
Can’t wait to see how the fighters defend Earth from Nappa and Vegeta, but first I have to see what happens to Batman’s parents and how Spiderman gets his powers
I’m not saying “True Strike shouldn’t exist”. I’m saying as it is, it’s incredibly underbalanced and not worth spending two turns to cast one spell.
I’m all for build diversity, but if you want to guarantee your big spells land (you can still miss with advantage, btw) you might as well pick Divination Wizard and use a Portent. If someone wanted to use this cantrip and I was DMing, I’d adjust it to be more accessible.
True strike is also a concentration spell, which means you can’t use any other concentration spells and you have a chance to waste it if someone hits you.
It’s also “advantage on one attack roll”, meaning it has no effect on spell saving throws like Fireball, Ray of Frost, etc.
There’s just a huge opportunity cost of taking it when you only get a few cantrips for the whole game
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m no purist so I’ll definitely download some mods for it
I was reading about Daggerfall Unity (I think it was on Lemmy probably) but I haven’t downloaded it yet. Has anyone tried it?
I don’t believe they will, the team who made World is making Wilds. But I speculate that the “super move on a timer” style of attacks might make a return.
I’m hoping to see some switch skills anyway. Rage slash was so much fun.
That seems like a really healthy opinion, lol. My most used weapon is sword and shield, and watching the gameplay change from base World->Iceborne->Rise has been like going from a Penny Farthing to a modern racing bike. I’m not super happy with how dominant the wire bugs are for armoring through moves and ignoring attacks but I’m optimistic that Wilds will do something different with them.
What kind of quests have disappeared from the new games?
Which Monster Hunter game did you start with? I like listening to old players gripe about how MH:W ruined the series for them. I haven’t played any others but it was an awesome game for me.
Not sure that would jive with their traditional way of development but I’d love to see a game dev mecca show up in Japan
I looked up the company to see what they made. Nothing too crazy, VR games mostly. I Expect You to Die was a hit from what I remember.

Hmm. Harley Quinn breaks up with Joker, meaning all of the people she’s pissed off are no longer afraid to go after her. Along the way she meets the ensemble cast of heroines who also want to fight criminals and they team up for some grand finale where they all fight bad guys together.
Very basic fare, so if you don’t like superhero movies (it’s a saturated market, I don’t blame anyone who does) then skip it. But it does feature Ewan McGregor playing a guy who likes peeling people’s faces off which was a funny tone shift.
Watched any good movies with strong female leads lately? I just watched Birds of Prey and thought it was the best live action DC movie in a long time
I almost spat out my drink when I saw this
I’m kinda surprised at how much people’s opinions of Cyberpunk 2077 has changed since release. Did the DLC really fix all of the issues people had with the game?
