Pretty well written post.
On Kindle and epub: it’s pretty annoying, but once you set up Calibre to automatically convert on sending to device, it’s effortless.

I wonder if people realize that cyberpunk is meant to be a dystopian satire, and not just a cool aesthetic
No, they don’t… For years now most people have considered cyberpunk to be just “rainy cityscape with neons”.
But it’s not that surprising, since a lot of us already do live in a cyberpunk world, except for some of the advanced technologies usually appearing in the genre.
I’m still not sure. It’s hard to believe anyone at their company would OK this idea.
Are they actually trying to deliberately kill their brand?
Regular algorithm is a piece of shit that won’t even reliably show me new episodes of a series I’m currently watching, so at least it can’t get much worse.
Proton Drive Linux desktop client and system integration for Calendar on Android are the main ones I remember.
Outrage narrative? Are you talking about me, or you?
Are you actually a Proton user, or you just here to shitpost? Because there are features that were promised years ago and then forgotten about, because they aren’t trendy enough.
Last commit was 14 minutes ago, so I’d say it’s not dead.
Is a paying customer not allowed to complain that they waste their time on chasing the next popular thing, instead of, I dunno, delivering important features promised years ago?
I think making it an opt-out is sensible
Why? I’m not in the business of making ad companies’ jobs easier.
I’d prefer fuck-you-fines making it impossible to ignore the security that are actually enforced.
It’s EU’s GDPR.
Anything like a newsletter or marketing must be opt-in. And it cannot be bundled with other consent, that is they can’t refuse to provide you a service if opt-in isn’t absolutely necessary.
To be honest, not sure if any other countries have such laws.
Opt-in by default is illegal, so OP has every right to be annoyed.
Just leave them be. I think their point was to route tubing for custom water cooling loops.
No vibration at all? That’s a really strange choice…
I guess you’re right. I should’ve upgraded first and checked it, oh well.
It specifically does mention that though. In Plasma 6.1 you can choose EDID, custom ICC profile or no profile.
You know, this explanation isn’t wrong, but having a printer manufacturer in your analogy show up as a victim just feels wrong.
You find out by installing MangoHud and checking which works better.
Shortly after release neither one made any real difference for me.
Misquotes? There are literally screenshots in the article showing full quotes, I don’t know who are you trying to lie to…
And just because Kagi put some text on their website doesn’t make it true.
Taxes don’t work like that (at least not VAT) and you’re a fool for trusting a company which tried to commit a fraud.
Some EU countries do have tax exemptions for small businesses, which Kagi isn’t by any definition.
Anyway, that sure didn’t take long for you to prove Godwin’s law, huh?
I never really compared the source to the converted mobi, but overall I can’t really complain.
Usually if the formatting is a little screwed up I assume it’s the source’s fault. :)
Almost every book I read nowadays is an epub converted to mobi.
Honestly, the bigger issue I have is the inability to put the sideloaded books into a series “folder”.
Instead I had to set Calibre to add “<series> <number> <book title>” string to the book tile in the metadata. :/
