Unsafe could mean, for an examples I have seen on steam forums, that minorities get harassed or told they should be exterminated. Just like Nazis should be scared to be in public IRL, they shouldn’t have safe spaces online either.

I know by your language you already have your mind made up and probably have a real strong opinion on ethics in gaming journalism, but extremism is a real problem.

So there’s going to be several things compounding here. One is loneliness. Another might be equating chastity with morality. And there’s expecting adolescent boys to not be gross horny idiots.

Find a community IRL or online that’s into what you like or take up a hobby that puts you into a group regularly. No loner things, you can do those anytime. Something away from school and separate from your sister would be good. I had luck with martial arts when I got to college, but it can be tough when you’re young to get to a physical place if you don’t have reliable transportation.

People saying awful things doesn’t go away with age, but it can be a good indicator of who you don’t want to be around. And if they’re the kind of people you can’t respect, then you don’t have to respect their opinions either. I’ve also always gotten along better with women; hanging out with them more may or may not cut down on the amount of conversations you find abhorrent.

If you’re having a lot of trouble with your emotions regarding this sort of thing, you may want to speak with a therapist. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you, they just tend to be able to put the right tools in the hands of people that need them.

I hope that helps. That’s a rough age to be, but it can probably be better than how it is for you. And I hope it becomes so.

Without swap: The OOM killer is triggered more quickly as anonymous pages are locked into memory and cannot be reclaimed.

This is why I prefer no swap on servers. I want oom to kill things quickly, otherwise everything slows to a crawl including ssh and terminal sessions that I’d use to troubleshoot and kill things myself anyway. I have redundant servers so a down system is much less disruptive than a terminally slow system.

No. Though it’s been used in recent times during all sorts of protests, its meaning and what kinds of protests in appears at are all over the map. It was even used by some during the January 6th insurrection. It’s also appeared alongside a fedora often enough that it gives me a little cringe to see it outside of an organized protest. If you really want to make a difference, get involved in an organization instead of fantasizing about being some lone wolf that takes down an individual to magically solve systemic problems. If you need to hide your face at a protest, try something that doesn’t provide royalties to a huge corporation.

If it’s got cultural context, I’m not sure of it, but otherwise it looks like it’s just got a theme of incompleteness that the brain fills in similar to some optical illusions like the Kanizsa triangle. The man has no legs, the chair is incomplete, the table’s top edge isn’t there, the nose.

I do notice some decoration on the collar and shoulders that might point to it being a specific person. Do you know which issue it is from 67?
