    no country is a pure ideology. Like an alloy, strength comes from mixing.

    In The Last Of Us (tv show) when the guy realizes he’s a communist… it’s true to a degree, but also it probably falls flat on a few communist ideas like “to each according to their needs” as they probably can’t provide for all their needs

    and they can’t easily trade or interact with other communes due to the danger, plus, labor is a life-or-death decision so “to each according to their abilities” is impractical too.

    we absolutely need to share resources to survive, cf the classic “how will libertarians drive if they can’t use public roads?”, but also “power corrupts” so the moment you have a bureau dedicated to distributing wealth of any kind… corruption

    the only strength is by mixing. That’s not to say that in my personal opinion, anywhere has got it right, I also believe all power should be endlessly scrutinized and criticized and adjusted.
