I’ve been jobless for about a year after graduating in 2022 due to poor mental health. I don’t have any good side projects, and my skills are meh. The job market is pretty bad at the moment in India, I’m struggling to get even an internship. I’m thinking of starting to learn C again to revise my concepts, alongside creating a good side project, and I was wondering if I should use some other language to solve interview questions on LeetCode?
Previously, I’ve solved a few easy and medium in C (about 120), and I was struggling to solve them, and it takes a lot of time to come up with solutions. I don’t want to waste any more time, but I also feel like using some other language could be counter-productive, and that I should start learning the entire C from scratch. I was also considering switching to Golang. Need the advice of this community to help me decide on what I should do, as staying unemployed anymore and having a large gap after graduating can hurt my career.
Maybe check what is expected knowledge in job postings in industries you want to join. If you just want to expand your horizons, learn more “lower” level programming, C is great for that but there aren’t that many jobs looking for it currently. It’s more cpp and rust.
