This is why I had to block them from my home feed. Way too many random posts that, because of the nature of the “rule”, aren’t very interesting.

I’ve also noticed that I’m losing interest in gaming recently. Whenever I get notified by steam that something on my wishlist is on sale I just look at it and move on. I started playing chess again for the first time since I was I kid and it’s been keeping me satisfied.
My hope is that if enough people block an instance, it’ll just die out over time from not enough interaction.
I just dropped Sync. I’ve used it for reddit since the app came out. Even paid for the premium version years ago. My purchase didn’t carry over to the lemmy version, and I noticed the app collects data for marketing now. Switched to Voyager, it’s not as fluid as Sync but I’ll get used to it.
Who is this commander and why is he is fucking around with my downloads?
The movie The Terminal?
Use Sync! I used it for years for reddit. They had to shut down with the other third party apps, but they just came back with Lemmy.
I started lurking here back when Sync shut down for reddit. I noticed that I haven’t seen the terms “chaotic good”, “feedback loop”, or “play stupid games…” used incorrectly/excessively here. Not to mention the one word, all caps, comments that have 1k+ upvotes for some reason.
I think he’s talking about similar communities from different instances. Like “books” on lemmy.world is separate from “books” on lemmy.ml. So people will end up migrating to the larger one for more users to share with. I feel like it’s not a big deal since I can subscribe to all of them while being on a single instance.
I liked the fake internet points, but it definitely leads to karma whoring. So I’ll do without.
No thank you.
