34 male. Grew up with 3 siblings. Always wanted kids when I was younger. As I got older, met my wife and started living together we had lots of discussions about kids. She was never really interested in them and the whole pregnancy and giving birth thing terrified her.
On lots of reflection I realised that I was only interested in kids because of family and societal pressure, I think the world is over populated and generally heading downhill (fascism is massively on the rise globally, global warming, various wars) so decided that I didn’t want to bring a child into that.
There’s plenty of children in the foster system so if we change our minds later we can adopt and give a good home to a child that needs one.

I got myself an Onyx boox e ink tablet for note taking. I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for but it runs android and writes beautifully. Good battery life with the e ink. I love mine. It is more expensive than an equivalent standard tablet though and no back light on my model.
Gris is such a beautiful game. It’s up there with Journey and Sayonara wild hearts for me in the games I can easily hold up as art category.
I played death stranding during COVID and it was the perfect game to do then (no idea if that was patient at the time) the world being so beautiful and fun/ hard to navigate was great for when you couldn’t go outside. The soundtrack is brilliant too.
Love slay the spire, one of my favourite rogue likes. I love how many viable builds it has, just a little knowledge and you can make most runs viable.

Yeah seconding this. If your work is putting you somewhere you need protective equipment they should provide it or a budget for you to get your own. That’s how it works in the UK at least, it might be worth asking if they provide a budget or anything.
Otherwise for boots your first step is to get some decent socks, I’d recommend wool outer layer and something absorbent as a base layer. Then you want to go try on some leather boots with a rubber sole wearing your socks, you might want to get a slightly bigger size so you can put an insole insert in as well. Make sure the boots aren’t too tight with your extra socks on as you need space to trap the heat but they shouldn’t slide around.
So people with end stage cancer do often deteriorate like that, the morphine is unlikely to have caused her death but it would have definitely made her more comfortable. You did the right thing for your grandma. You didn’t speed up her death, you cared for her through a difficult time. Thank you for being there for them.
If this is playing on your mind get in touch with the hospice/ palliative care team who were involved and talk it through with them. They will be happy to help and won’t mind you calling at all, even if it is a long time since it happened.
My memory is pretty bad, I’m dyslexic and it affects my short term memory. So I take a lot of notes for things I need to do. If it isn’t written down it didn’t happen, or in my case won’t get done. My long term memory as a consequence is mostly big events and fun/bad stuff though I generally need a prompt to remember specifics. I usually have to check my phone if someone asks what I did last weekend and we are past Monday or Tuesday, I’ve slept since then you see.
Dunno about diverse but deep rock galactic had the nicest community of an online multiplayer game I’ve ever encountered at least whilst I was playing it. Genuinely wholesome which is practically unheard of for an online multiplayer game.
Either a whole load of books, fiction, tabletop RPG sci-fi. I would also need to buy more bookshelves to put these on.
A decent upgrade to my computer, maybe a new graphics card.
