I’d feel much better about it if they hadn’t increased their already expensive prices.
These Bethesda open world games take a LONG time to make. Even if they knew it was going to be made 7 years from now, there’s no guarantee it will be good or that it won’t be shelved. It’s better to just go at your own pace.
Not for me. I have a job and kids and there are other games I want to play. A game needs to be manageable.
There can be fluff to skip or it can be open world where I don’t care if I don’t finish it. But the longer the game is, the more likely I am to just not pick it up.
I really want to play Alyx. I have the PSVR2. But I would need a beefy PC still unfortunately.
Wild. If I’m spending $70 dollars on a new game, I’m getting a physical copy. Either for collector’s or resell purposes. But I’m not spending that much on digital.
I’ve paid to remove ads. Does that count? I don’t see it any different than playing a demo and purchasing the full version.
Infinite was when they gave up. No story, lazy maps, broken online, barebones multiplayer. My personal grievance is abandoning the Promethean storyline and Cortana’s story. Bringing her back was a mistake. But they should have followed through once they did it.
I just want a Halo 6 to close out the Promethean storyline.
It was definitely in the second game. During the loading screen, you could move it around and the marbles would fall out and swoosh around in the box.
I have to disagree. Personally I liked that Infinite felt fresh. I loved 1 and Infinite. I didn’t get too far into 2. It just felt like 1 but worse.
Wow, I was not expecting that.
I guess I never cared for the main plot much either. For me the characters are the best part of the game. They make the story. Heck, a lot of the game is exploring their individual stories that aren’t connected to the overall plot.
As opposed to FVIII where the main plot is everything and rarely involves the side characters.
Cloud drags Final Fantasy VII (OG) down. He’s the least interesting playable character and his amnesia subplot overstays its welcome.
Also, Cait Sith is the best character.
I forget that people hate Wakka. Not every character needs to be a paragon of justice. It’s interesting because he’s such a hopeful character, but also hateful.
A+ pick.
The most I’ve spent on a retro game is Parasite Eve for about $60. I think any game that I would spend more than that on, I already own.
I just did my yearly playthrough of Final Fantasy V, Four Job Fiesta mode. I finished on the 5th and ended up with a Ninja, Black Mage, Time Mage, and Chemist.
This was my third time playing FFV, and only my second time playing Four Job Fiesta. Now I’m back to playing Final Fantasy VIII. I don’t even know how many times I’ve played that one.

What I hate about the merged plans (Gold vs GamePass) is that they don’t always specify which level. Core or Console/Ultimate?
100%
It’s also nice to have shared interests. But I have friends to chat with about the latest Final Fantasy game.
