I’m not surprised, but holy crap is this going to lead to a lot of hot potato and absolute messes when it comes to branch checkout decisions. Wouldn’t surprise me if businesses decline to download this, or move over to another IDE like CLion just to keep some sort of clarity.

Yup. CSS selectors are great for this very reason.
Speaking anecdotally, I’ve yet to see a modern Java codebase. But again, that’s just anecdotally, and I’m (truly) sure they exist. Just that I’ve not had the fortune of being around it. Is that a bad thing?
