I haven’t seen any hardware issues, but perhaps I’m just ignorant. I’m pretty busy with work and family generally, so I seldom dig into troubleshooting recently. I’m not even sure I’d know how to start with hardware diagnostics on an atomic distro (but that should be easy enough to find in the documentation).

Thanks! I’m taking the advice of some other commenters about adding what I need without installing Gnome, which at the end of the day works apparently cause more problems that it solved.

Based on all the answers I’ve recieved, I see that’s it’s probably best that I leave the DE alone. At the end of the day, I just need to make sure that I have the correct dependencies for the app in question. Installing the entirety of Gnome was really just my lazy fix idea.
Thanks! Just what I needed. The idea to install an entire DE was my lazy fix idea, but now I’m learning more about how atomic distros work, and finally using the terminal in bazzite! It is such a convenient distro, but it also felt wierd to never open the terminal.

No, but the power to make laws lies in the senate / congress. If they are also in republican hands then together they could possibly change the laws to enact a dictatorship.
That’s slowly changing though, as the enschittification of windows continues. They may not care to know about the details, but all of those points do fall under the “it just works” catagory. And they do care about that.

Obsidian is awesome, and obsidian publish costs money but it’s very easy to use.
Are you physically active? If no, then I’d suggest taking up a sport. Whether alone or with others, physical activity is extremely important, and it can be a rewarding hobby.
If that’s already covered, then I’d ask: would you prefer to have a hobby that you do alone, or with a group?
For group hobbies, you can browse meetup.com, that’s how I found my table-top RPG group, and we’ve been having loads of fun together for…about 15 years now.
(TTRPGs are my favorite, pathfinder 2e is the best ever)
For alone hobbies, I’d say the most important aspect is stay away from the screen. Music is a common one, or another type of art. Painting can be extremely rewarding, even if you have no talent.
I like to do MOC lego projects. (basically, use legos to make your own creations) I build mecha out of lego technic and bionicle/star wars parts.
I’ve been meaning to try this out. As a big fan of the neverwinter nights community, and someone who played rhe original WAY to much, it’s just to tantalizing.
Edit: I mean the original Morrowind.
Mozilla should approach proton to try and get accuired. I would love to see Firefox and Thunderbird become part of the proton landscape.
