I’ve just been buying phones a model or two behind the latest generation. Bonus points for a refurbished phone. Saves a ton of money and they’re usually not much less capable than what’s new.

Hexbear and lemmygrad are the only instances I blocked in-client, and it was a drastic instant improvement.

Some people are really weird when it comes to things being “fair.” I forget the details but I remember a study where given the option of getting $100 and a stranger getting $200, a good chunk of people would rather neither of them get anything.

It’s been a while so I don’t remember anything concrete, but I remember characters being described with a strange amount of detail in racial or ethnic features, like height or nose shape. I don’t think he ever explicitly describes any race as superior to others, but some of the passages felt like it was going to devolve into some weird analysis of skull dimpling or something.

I really enjoyed Ender’s Game, but even while reading you can tell there’s some weird racist shit going on in Orson Card’s head.
