Lemmy is confusing enough for people who are not used to its idea. Everybody new and with FOMO immediately went for the bigger instances.

Nope. Not really. I speak two local languages for example and none of them are in Soundcloud, it was never popular in my region.

Personally, some of the particular covers sang by Youtubers or certain compilations remind me of specific memories back when I was younger.

Also there’s a lot of songs that are not available anywhere else

My entire fandoms are there. Also twitter is ok if you follow the right people, you don’t depend on the trending list and you dgaf about follower count.

The scifi fantasy community still had a ton of these active till now.

I am mostly cashless for years now but I still agree that keeping cash for emergencies is still a must. Always keep a few bills and coins on you!

I felt like this was how WhatsApp still lives on lol, and outside my in real life friends, the Discord communities I’m active in won’t be moving anywhere either

• Twitter for fandom stuff and random opinions
• Real Life dates with close friends

Why is it like that? It’s so bizarre
