Yeah, probably
Another idea for android phones is octo4a (octopi for android) if you’re into 3d printing. That’s what my nexus 6 with a dead display is doing. Also you can run docker on 'em if you can build the kernel, and it’s not too ancient (AFAIK, docker needs 3.something, so it’s like android 6 in general, maybe?), but I personally never got to it, unfortunately
Idk, I’m more into re-using. Old pc? A home server! Old laptop? A home server! Old phone? You guessed it, a home server! Alternatively, I can give 'em to a friend/relative if they happen to need one. And FUBAR stuff goes into its own bin in case I need spare components.
Yap, and if you press the underlined letters, it’ll trigger the corresponding action (e.g. alt -> f ->o = open file).
I don’t use browser extensions with it and just copy-paste stuff, unfortunately. Also it’s mostly a failsafe in case my vaultwarden instance goes tits up
It’s somewhat useful when I don’t know what I’m looking for (a thing that blah and blah, but not blah, yada-yada) or need a quick answer to a broad unimportant question: seo currently prioritizes sites with stupid ai-generated essays with little to no relevant info, so I might as well get an ai-generated answer that is at least on the subject and not the history of its invention by drunk octapedal apes in the middle of Alaska in 1337 bce.
On android, I guess, it’s smth like: heliboard, mull, eternity, tubular (a newpipe fork), antennapod, feeder, simplex, element and slightly patched mercurygram.
As for the desktop, Firefox, keepassxc, anyrun (the app launcher) and cosmic-term would probably be the GUI apps I use most often; occasionally neovide if I feel like drooling on those sick cursor animations, mpv if I want to watch stuff without distractions, or kicad if I’m into making some electronics-related pet project. Other than that, my workflow is mostly terminal-centric, so the fish shell, coreutils, neovim, moreutils – mostly vidir
for visual bulk renaming and vipe
for editing piped stuff in place (for one-time things that require, say, >2 sed
s) --, and so on.
Huh, nice to see those guys still have this weird KDE 3 fetish.
… What? Staged (or not; I doubt ppl suddenly stopped doing disgusting crap on the web) revenge porn isn’t an over-engineered non-solution to a widespread (?) problem, so idk how it’s similar.
Mb it was typed on a phone initially, and it autoincorrected dos to DoS
Why truck, tho? Is it supposed to be one megabuck in $1 bills or something?
Both android and crapple phones have mic & cam indicators nowadays, tho, and if a piece of software has a level of access high enough to bypass those, you kinda have bigger issues… Also, the webcam receives power by default currently; as the repo mentions, it’s just another USB device (well, it’s 3v3, and not 5v, but it doesn’t really matter here)
I’ve learned python after CPP… And I can’t #even remember all the cases when I thought “damn, I wish I could’ve just used pointers”
I only remember this one: https://github.com/basings/selfhosted-music-overview
But it’s somewhat outdated
That’s so sweet of them to remind people to start hosting their own subsonic servers already
Y’know the funniest part? Russian govt says the exact same fucking thing about the US, just replace magots and communists with, say, anyone who doesn’t accept Putin as our lord and savior and Ukrainians (they were apparently planning to attack us all along 'cuz the US told 'em to or something).
Looks more like “identified” to me [edit: kinda like human * I]
Hey, I also seed 'em, no need to get so angry about it
But is it convincing enough to attend meetings for me
I still like pacman’s syntax the most due to it being close to what one expects from a normal cli program. Also, I’m lazy, and
pacman -Syu
, for example, is way faster to type thanapt update && apt upgrade
.
