I think so, but there can probably be some vendor-specific differences, like storing the image in a place that doesn’t get overwritten. For example, thinkpads provide a way to supply your own image, and when installing updates after that you’re asked if you want to keep it. But yeah, the update should neuter it anyways
Not sure about fidesmo, but you can check if your device is apatch-eable, as it reportedly can fool safetynet.
You can remap it to require less finger gymnastics… I prefer super+q, personally.
Ah, okay, thanks for clarification
Yeah, but dudes there are kinda pissed off about semantics, IMO. Like, unless there’s a PR from tuxedo using the same v3, I don’t think it should concern them in the slightest… And instead of saying “keep in mind it’s not upstreamable” they go out of their way to mark tuxedo’s patches as proprietary 🤨
So, gpl3 is apparently not GPL and is somehow proprietary. Sure, makes perfect sense. Idk where they even find those geniuses.
Do you seriously expect tinfoilheads to be capable of cost-benefit analysis?
Well, let’s hope it’ll piss people off into seing the light
And how did it look on the inside?
… That was Balanced on top of the statue of Liberty or something
Tnx, will check it out!
Allrighty, a poor choice of words, then. What I meant was more or less along the lines of “while I like the idea of communism, I think maintaining vertical power structures while trying to make it happen is more or less doomed to result in yet another autocracy”
Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not exactly into Marxism-Leninism, I’m more of an anarchist myself (the idea of dictatorship, be it of a working class or anyone else, doesn’t sit right with me). And ml was chosen at the time just due to it being hosted by the Lemmy devs
You can argue with communists, you can’t argue with fanboys or those who accepted Marx as the one and true Messiah and tell you to read ze book instead of providing any points. But that’s applicable to pretty much every topic (oop bad, for example).
You mean this: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hackers-use-poc-exploits-in-attacks-22-minutes-after-release/ ?
Pretty regular stuff if you ask me
A so-called “meta distribution”, allows you to mix and match packages from some other distros. Kinda like distrobox, but older (AFAIK) and low level-er.
That said, I didn’t find it exactly useful a few years ago, since pretty much everything i needed was in the aur or the official repos (should be better if the base was smth like Ubuntu)
Other inits cut out udev and logind and run away giggling into the sunset, obviously
In case you end up not finding a solution for river, hyprland can do that: https://wiki.hyprland.org/0.42.0/Configuring/Keywords/#per-device-input-configs
