Off topic here but from the looks of it Lemmy requires a serious amount of time and work. Is the development team working on this full time in lieu of a full time programming job? Or is a passion project in addition to your real live duties?

Unless those communities were sharing links to pirated content. If it was just talk about piracy and piracy news then I don’t think that’s a good reason to defederate.
Nothing is ever bad as places like this make it out to be. Reddit had (probably still has) the same propensity for hysteria.
I almost always buy games from resellers as long as it’s the best price. I’d rather have something cataloged in my Steam/Epic/Origin/etc library than deal with having to deal with the installation manually.
My Plex server using parts from 2013
It was an old business PC that used a celeron which didn’t handle Plex streams very well but I upgraded the H61 BIOS to accept 3rd gen i7 CPUs and the 3770s does a great job even with multiple streams going at once.
Besides Plex it’s basically my seedbox and I have F@H running on 2 cores 24/7 to make use of the fact that it’s always on. It’s such a simple machine but I love it.
You can feel their frustration in this post. Being a mod is a thankless job.

That is sad. I used it for pirating episodes of the British version of Love Island. It was regularly uploaded and I didn’t belong to any trackers that uploaded reality TV. Hopefully I can find something before the next season begins.
