I’m reminded of a bit of advice I saw once. If they like you, you’ll know. If they don’t, you’ll feel confused.
This sounds like a confusing situation, which would mean he’s not really into you.
I’d suggest being open and honest. Tell him you’re interested romantically, and/or ask him on a date. Like literally, ask him out on a date – don’t call it a hang-out or a get-together, a date. Use clear language, don’t equivocate.
What do the kids call that again? Define the relationship? DTR? I think that’s what I’m suggesting.
If he keeps sending mixed signals after that, I’d give up on him.
But I know that’s all easier said than done. I used to struggle with this a lot, and some friendships definitely got ruined. But I think a lot of that was due to me not processing rejection in healthy ways.
Could there be a way to enjoy a dollar’s worth of a skydiving trip? I’m thinking of being teleported into the sky mid-drop, flailing about in a panic for a few seconds, then instantly reappearing back where I was before.
That one’s up there for me too, but you must be way better at drifting than I am. Whenever I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of it, I hit a car.
Ooh ooh ooh, I like this question :D
Obvious follow-up question is whether we’re talking about classic or modern. I’ll give one of each.
For classic Sonic, I like City Escape the best. Hitting those jumps in the skateboard section and seeing him fly around is so cool. I also like how the speedy-shoe sprint at the end shows off how quick you can go, even though classic Sonic can feel kinda slow and plodding sometimes. The GUN truck nips at modern Sonic’s heels, but it has no chance of catching classic Sonic.
For modern Sonic, my fav is prolly Green Hill. Yeah it’s stupid easy cuz it’s the first level, but it gives you a lot of room to play around with Sonic’s skills without dying a bunch of times. Plus, the scenery and the bright colors just stun me every time.
I’m not sure if I could pick one over the other, but… Maybe I like classic City Escape just a bit more.
I usually opt for French bread, I forget if it’s better toasted or not. Maybe I need to have it again to remind myself.
Bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh mozzarella, tomato slice, and basil – open-face so it makes a big oily tasty mess :)
Setting aside my depressive episodes and a few signals of impending doom, I look out my window and see a world that is still generally okay around me. That tells me I’m still in a position to go out and try to improve things.
For instance, my family and I got through COVID. To me, that’s a kind of privilege, because I certainly know others who weren’t so fortunate. So I’m doing my part to ensure another pandemic like that doesn’t happen again, or at least isn’t so impactful.
Well I suggest you look elsewhere cuz this community has none of those lol
My HOA. Contrary to most experiences shared online, mine doesn’t do shit, and no amount of bitching seems to be enough to motivate them. Sure would be nice to have well-maintained common areas someday.
Teacher: Oh wow I’m so impressed society is finally trying to reclaim that name after such a dark past.
Parents: No no, we’re actually fans of the dark past.
Ask him what he wants and use that as a starting point?
Project Gutenberg for free ebooks.
But this is the only method I trust to not surprise me with fees for a “free” service.
“Free-free-free, free-free, free. That’ll be $39.95.”
Burger King. They’ve messed up orders, burned food, and drowned stuff in mayonnaise too many times to tolerate.
Now I just cook frozen burger patties on the stove, and tell myself that their sides were never all that great anyway.
Got it. So then yes, I’d say it’s possible from a technical standpoint. But you really ought not to do it.
That’s what you call a viral vector. Apparently the Sputnik V vaccine for COVID used this approach.
Edit: Sorry, wait, do you mean like designing a viral vector-based vaccine and spraying it into the air to vaccinate everyone around? That seems like it’d run afoul of some kind of ethics things.
Perhaps a better question is why aren’t more people shunned. There are some good answers already, but I’ll throw in another reason that seems to come up sometimes.
The US is highly polarized on a lot of issues. If one can frame their shunning as one of those wedge issues, they can probably get enough people to rally around them that they escape accountability.
“I’m being deplatformed because of racism against white people!”
“We have freedom of speech in this country, so if you take everything in the Constitution absolutely literally like I do, it’s obvious I should be able to spew whatever bullshit I want. You don’t hate the Constitution and the founding fathers, do you?”
Having people of color, which automatically qualified it as “ghetto”. We were under-resourced, and it seemed a lot of the talented kids moved to attend a rival school instead. We routinely got our asses kicked in academics and sports.
I wonder if there’s a timeline where Link is wearing flood pants when he first meets Rauru on that weird fountain platform in the Chamber of Sages
