San Diego, carne asada fries in hand, ready to put on my thickest winter coat when it hits sub 60 degree temps.
I wipe it off.
Music by Cavelight by Blockhead. My fav stoned album of all time, probably.
I haven’t eaten cereal since I was like 12 or 13? I started to prefer spicy salty stuff in the morning pretty young. Give me hashbrowns drowning in hot sauce instead.
I’m doing wonderfully! Looking forward to cooking tonight, trying out a recipe from Nik Sharmas most recent book. How are you doin?
So you never visited reddit then. Be glad.
It’s nice to know that the odds of encountering bots, trolls, and bigots are incredibly low. Yes, there is less content, but it’s the only place I don’t have to scroll passed vitriol and misinformation regularly. It’s wonderful.
I have an account with beehaw. It’s my favorite place on the internet. I think most of us are happy with the way it has panned out. Some discussion here and there of potentially leaving activitypub altogether. If it happens, I will follow. If it doesn’t I will stay. Beehaw is too special for those of us it speaks to and works for. I don’t see it dying anytime soon, that’s for sure.
From where I sit physical media is experiencing a huge surge in popularity. So I think bluray is here to stay, and will see more usage in the coming years.
Nice! I wasn’t sure so I just mentioned it. Never seen memes about it the way I have with blockbuster haha
Great article! I have vivid memories of renting this from Hollywood Video (a southern california blockbuster equivalent), getting so confused, and giving up on it very quickly.
A terrible horror film.
Do we get to pick the person? I’d say Nigella Lawson talking about cooking.
In respite from the prep cooking I’ve been doing and the big meal tomorrow we are ordering pizza tonight.
Larcen! He was awesome too. Such a great cast of characters, and each stage had a stage death you could unlock similar to a fatality. My brother’s and I sank so many hours into this game.
Eternal Champions. An old fighting game for Sega. I’ve never met anybody in real life who has heard of it. It was so awesome. Xavier was the shit.
Senior citizens being the outright meanest demographic. Not by frequency, but by intensity. The amount of stubbornness, entitlement, and just absolute resentment for everything around them shocks me. The way they react to things not going exactly how they think they should go is astounding. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of them are pleasant and wonderful. But when an old person is mean, it’s on its own level. I’d say middle aged people are more likely to be difficult, but they never even come close to the tantrums that seniors will throw. Part of this could be chalked up to mental decline, but the main part is entitlement. Plenty of people experience mental decline, and dont become vitriolic assholes. They truly think they’re special and should get whatever they want at all times. Its exhausting explaining to an adult why I can’t do something for them that our organization is literally unable to do.
How fantastic is this? I personally love cooking so it’s something I actually do to curb depression, but I know many people who could use this book. Even if just as a symbol of solidarity. Thanks for sharing!
Artichoke Fondue Dip, it’s a recipe from Amy Theilan’s book The New Midwestern Table. I highly recommend it.
