Oh wow, a Simpsons fact I didn’t know, yet! Thanks. All I knew was that Maude died in the season where the writing started to suck.

There were two or three weeks were it felt pretty good but now it’s just reddit with less upvotes/comments.
Also, some days ago, some mod just deleted one of my posts without any notification. I just had to notice it was gone 🤷♂️. At least on reddit I was always notified about that and got an explanation (even though it was stupid a lot of times).
There’s a paragraph in the German constitution that lists all words that count as insults. German school kids have to recite the constitution once per week in school and when that paragraph comes everyone giggles.
/s I think there probably is some list of insults, though.
I love bashing AI art but in AI art it’s usually the details that you spot at second glance that makes it fall apart. The Mega Man cover is just fundamentally messed up to a degree where even AI art is miles ahead.
Well, if it isn’t Lone Star. And his sidekick, Puke.
Remote play on Steam Deck (and previously on the Steam Link) works fine for me, if the PC is connected via Ethernet while the Deck/Link is connected via WiFi. There’s no discernable inlut lag for most games. But half the time I run into random issues with controllers not being recognized properly or sound cutting out. It’s such a disappointment.
Good examples. In general the earlier 3D games aged particularly poorly. Not only graphically but also when it comes to controls. I think around 2000 things get better, though.
I bought MDK two years after release for 10€ because the screenshots on the box looked pretty but I was super disappointed once I saw it in motion on my PC… Back in these days game graphics got better so quick, that a (originally super pretty) two year old game looked bad on my PC.
Edit: I wish that GIF would play without clicking it (Jerboa). 🤔
Edit 2: Plays fine in Sync at least…
True. However back when these games were state of the art, you somehow were able to imagine the graphics to be better than what was actually on screen. At least that’s how it felt to me (played my first games in the early 90s).
Yeah, that botheres me, too. Also when a game is labeled to have “psx graphics” and it just means that they use low res textures without filtering but at the same time it has real time shadows, requires 4GB VRAM and uses bunch of other modern techniques.
I watched Ren and Stimpy daily as a kid. 🥰
Back when I started using Reddit it was frowned upon to post OC. I remember some subs had rules that you would be banned if you more than like 10% of your posts were OC.
The guy actually wrote software? Like he coded it?
Heh.
