I’ve wondered if you could even if it was slowly build up a database of traffic infromation and have it be an opt in feature. Like I know in general in my city when things get busiser so I know when to avoid certain parts.

I personally use Mullvad and find it to be great with there view on privacy and sense I can create a new “account” anytime I want.
I use Tuta but it’s what convinced me to buy a domain. So if/when I switch providers the majority of contects will not notice.
This makes me so happy I’m using Graphine OS. Also the entire idea that there “not storing my history” I don’t trust them. They have already been sued multiple times over keeping ingogneto data.
I think it’s mainly two things:
I don’t really agree with either of these but it is what seems to be common.
The unproven claims is the key part here. Also the point of “terminating an account would punish every user in a household” is important as well.
You can fine someone for piracy if you want. As long as they have the standard legal protections. But cutting access is excessive.
I mean yea, it’s screwed up that the CEO is infesting in a military company. But that would be how a for profit company works.
Also I want to see people care about artists and cancel there subscriptions. If people only boycott for this 90% will start using Spotify again in a month or so or another platform that screws over artist.
I can’t tell you if you should or not. I can tell you I DO NOT have it enabled and mapping service work just fine. Also I would recommend using something like CoMaps and not Google Maps.
Cars get damaged, it’s part of USING a GOD DAMN CAR. To me if something is damge that is invisible to a normal human eye and doesn’t impact the function of it, it’s part of renting cars.
“Better then ever” is a bold claim. I switched to GrapheneOS and guess what it stopped working. Why? Because Google decided not to make it work on custom OS’s anymore like a year ago.
To my understanding there is NO real technical reason for this. If I can have Signal work cross platform (a real secure messenger) then RCS can as well.
First everyone always does. Second there is always a chance you do want to hide with a regime change.
As long as it’s implicit right and is a reasonable price I 100% will be getting it. I am willing to pay someone else to securly hold my (e2ee) data.
My advice if you want something with changing some habits that is pretty good Graphine OS would be a good option. I’ve been running for close to 3 months at this point I think. If you run the right apps it can be decently private and isn’t a huge inconvenience.
It’s really down to how much time you have and how inconvenientced you want to be. Generally the more secure something is the less convenient it can be. I find Graphine with FOSS apps and other secure services to fit what I want and need.
I HATE this if I am PAYING for a product then I shouldn’t get a god damn ad.
As an American I’m not really a fan of it mainly because it’s different from the World standard. We are the only country that insists on doing it different. It would not be hard to change either. I would love for it to change but it’s not something I’m putting a lot of time or thought into right now.
I love your guys work and fully support it. I think libre software is the only way foward if we don’t want worse and worse platforms.
Question: Do you think Peertube will likely ever have a the diversity of content that YouTube has or with different motives for making content it may never reach that scale?
Would you recommend an AMD or Intel?
This is why I really wish the “control servers” were selfhostable on the open web. Kind of similar to how you can self host a relay node for Rustdesk.
