I didn’t know that even happened. Must’ve occurred in the void.

On the other hand, Lemmy is full of political content lately.
Unfollow communities with political content, and all that goes away.
A lot of it is disengaging from political communities and making my own. So far the people who leave comments now haven’t been that but, but we’ll see how long that lasts 😂
Well, IDK. I’m right wing. Exploding Heads definitely at least leaned right, and found myself arguing with those people a lot of the time, but I do prefer right wing lunacy to left wing lunacy most of the time.
Ooh I didn’t know that the exploding-heads guy did anything else.
Why block instances though? I’ve never been a fan of that, I just let people block me.
The Lemmy devs? I’m aware of this. I’m a right winger and that doesn’t affect me nearly as much as the far left communities of Lemmy users.
The features are all I care about. Eventually I’ll find the right people here and be able to build the communities I want.
Lemmy works really well with Lotide
I’m not sure what that even means. Does that mean it’s right wing? If software can even be right wing or left wing.
So is it a fork of Lemmy?
Nice! Does it support MRFs?
I’d rather be allowed to reverse sort on any of the algorithms. It would show content with less engagement and probably and up pushing up content from those niche communities you speak of.
IDK man, I’ve never been a fan of cancel culture. Should someone standing up for the political beliefs mean they should have no career because people stop supporting them? I don’t think so.
That said…yeah I’ll do more to support people outside of mainstream Hollywood while I can (for example, I collect physical media, and I’ll buy it firsthand from people I REALLY wanna support like the folks behind The Chosen, while for most people I’ll just buy their stuff secondhand from eBay).
most of them are regime whores so I don’t cry.
I’m not ideological like that. If actors I watch had to uphold my values I’d be stuck with mediocre and bad Christian films and shows, and I love art too much to do that to myself.
I’m always a “support the creators” dude. But what happens when the media disappears? Or if you’re not allowed to own it, which is the primary way creators get paid? (Sure you can subscribe to Netflix or whatever but that will contribute to all of the $18 in the showrunners’ royalty checks every year.) I generally don’t support piracy, but the current landscape makes it hard for me to condemn it anymore in the majority of cases.
Which would you say is best?
It’s spam. Most Fediverse software like Mastodon and Pleroma support MRFs that protect against spam, as I understand it, but Misskey doesn’t. And since Misskey users are mostly Japanese, so is that spam, as it’s targeting that Japanese audience.
So that’s why all the spam is Japanese.
How do starter packs help Mastodon become a better platform?
