User choice in the form of multiple tiers would be ideal. I might or might not pay to remove non-creepy ads depending on how they’re presented.

At least there’s a cheap option to remove them. I’ll pay the $3/mo.
Sad that the list of horrible circumstances necessary for such a hypothetical really needs to include 'lives in the US."
Tell us where so op can move there if it comes to that.
I have the feeling a Sapiens might be a worthy member of such a list. I haven’t read it yet though. I’d love to hear someone’s opinion who has.
Guns Germs and Steel. I remember feeling, after I read it, that I saw things differently. But now the ideas presented in it seem the most natural things in the world, and I can’t imagine I ever thought otherwise. Or maybe I had the same views before but not historical foundations for them… I can hardly remember now.
Yeah I wish Alexandrite had a PWA…
Not just FF though. I have a few installed via Vivaldi. I imagine other browsers can too right? Not sure why FF specifically gets mentioned regarding this.
Looks like it’s already on the Play store. I already have Infinity. I see now that Eternity is a fork of Infinity. The Play store listing of Eternity opens my Infinity app when I tap the Open button in Eternity’s store listing, since Install is not an option for me. I wonder if the app would be different from F-droid…,
It’s tabletty UI is pretty good. Maybe I’ll give it a shot for a while. I do notice right off that tapping many of the links in posts give me errors though.
Not enough of these are tablet-optimized. I using Syc on my tablet but Memmy on iPhone. I wish Memmy made an Android tablet version.
MacOSf or the trackpad gesture support.
Oh. Calling if a metal tube tearing through the sky made me think you objected more to the concept than the comfort, despite your kinked neck reference. Guess I misread.
True. But the comment I was replying to was referencing the monitoring itself, not the outcome.
Can you fall asleep in a car? You know those metal cages tearing down roads where more people get killed than in those metal tunbes tearing through the sky…
If you’re talking about masterbating, then that’s not unusual or a bad thing necessarily. I didn’t encounter porn until late high school yet I would do that frequency as a younger kid. That’s normal for boys. What’s not normal is that you seem to have pathologized it.
If there’s a reliable way to only be alerted to specific activity, then the parents aren’t really actively spying, in the sense that the kids still have privacy when they aren’t transgressing into prohibited space. As long as that prohibited space is reasonable (huge debate possible there of course) and the kids know about the restrictions. imo
MacOS for the trackpad gesture functionality.
Is this a Deviant Art ad?
Doesn’t every on-demand streaming service still have an ad-free option?
