Here’s something I use to search history for commands or keywords. I have this as a function in my profile:

}

history grep

Usage: hgr git to search for commands containing git.

Someone more knowledgeable may be able to point out ways to improve this.

I had four rounds on different days with one of them including 7h of interviews with a dozen people (some paired, some solo). This included a solo interview with someone who interviewed me a year before when I wasn’t ready and I was scared he’d recognize me. He didn’t, but even if he did I was much better situated in terms of my skills and preparation beforehand. I got the job.

Atoms shoes. Back then, they did quarter sizes and you could get two different sizes because most people have different sized feet. They were awesome and I bought several more pairs.

They’ve been out of stock of most common sizes for a couple months without restocking and yesterday when I clicked the Contact link to ask about resupply the link is dead / goes to a redirect page. I think they’re about to go out of business. Fucking shame.

I’m able to identify a lot of music from the first beat / note. But only music that I know, which doesn’t include a lot of mainstream pop.

I know she was using the word in a speech a lot cause I heard it in a bunch of soundbites. Not sure the context as regards her speech.

I have Phoronix in my RSS plus blogs.

We had an office with a backdoor out into a tiny parking lot (~5-6 vehicles). There were guys with weed whackers. The sound kept going forever and ever and ever. Turned out that my coworker had subtly tuned the stereo (hooked up to a computer for streaming) to a YouTube video that was four hours of weed whacker noise. It took like 45m for someone to complain and he just started laughing uncontrollably and was found out. He’s a good friend and I’m still mad at him for that when I remember it. Ace job pranking us, though. The workers had been long gone.

What was the reason they don’t want to be associated anymore? Did Open SUSE do something to tarnish their reputation?
