I like kbin, think of it basically like if someone took lemmy and mastodon and made one platform that could use both. there is only one mobile app but it’s pretty good imo.

thanks, I’ll see if I can’t make some progress
mines been staying awake and asking me to confirm when I open it back up.
when used derogatorily, it is essentially the same as most other deragatory terms. for example, “you fucking <word>”, or “you’re a <word>”, or “I’m not gonna be told what to do by some <word>”.
when used non-derogatorily its the same as like dude or buddy.
that looks awesome and the pricing actually seems decent unlike some of their other devices
I’m trying to get most of what I like on CD and then host a jellyfin server
I phrased it poorly, I meant credits as they are now like the slow scroll over a list. i wouldnt mind a screen with a couple pages of names (and in movies, just like flash a few screens if names instead of a 20 minute sequence) but as they are now its just annoying.
as they are now, anyway. i don’t mind having a screen that shows all the people who worked on something, but this slow scroll over a poorly formatted list is just annoying.
no, and unless they are interactive I’m against the whole idea.
edit: I phrased that poorly, I mean credits as we know them now (20 minute sequence scrolling a poorly formatted list of names). obviously people should have their names on things they worked on but it is annoying having it be so obtrusive and long-winded.
second language or typo
had the same thing happen today, unlock origin doesn’t work anymore. wish they hadn’t killed the speedup one bc that compromise works perfect (IMO).
since I moved to Linux back in August I’ve been using libreoffice. the only issue I have had is the default paper size being whatever it is Europeans use (printers full of eagle paper got mad) but after changing it I had no issues.
I swear this community is as bad as a flat earth one when the government gets brought up. why change the title from the original to imply that congress (other than deciding the federal budget) had anything to do with it? That is at best irresponsible and misleading and at worst actively malicious. Yes government entities do sketchy things, but that does not mean something can’t be trusted because a government entity interacted with it.
how does it compare to something like jellyfin (or Plex, despite not being FOSS it’d be unfair not to mention them)?
probably people just take about that long to decide what to say and type it out
Just cause three. blow shit up, kill bad guys, just enough story to explain it all. even better, it strikes a good balance of minimal story and compelling story, which a lot of games like that kinda suck at.
I meant the series, probably should have specified
love that video
in theory communism makes resources the property of everyone. In practice, somebody has to manage the resources, and in doing so controls them. if you control the resources, and especially if you have the power to defend that control, you effectively own them. this means that while in theory the people own everything, the truth is that the government owns everything. by similar logic to the first bit, if they own everything then they have control of everything, meaning that they are authoritarian. that being one of the major defining characteristics of a dictator its not far from there to become one even if you aren’t trying to. ironically, this is all how it’s intended to work save for the dictator part. this is the apple mouse charging port of communism, an intentional thing with a bad result that can’t be given up without invalidateing things you have said or done.
also, communism tends to be brought about by coups and coups tend to lead to authoritarian leaders, compounding the above issue.
hey I’m pretty new to stuff like this, can someone explain?
