Personally, I could see this being one of two ways:
Someone actually was acting creepy or dangerous, and you either didn’t pick up on it or didn’t see this person/behavior as threatening.
What might be more likely is this guy making up that excuse to try and get (extra) 1-on-1 time with you. Or him trying to come off as a protector/savior, which I would consider a red flag (or at least yellow).
Damn, this is an epic project. Props to the Polygon people who coordinated all this!
Are you using Voyager? I’ve noticed a similar thing and didn’t know if it was a Lemmy issue or Voyager issue.
Damn. That’s dedication.
That’s absolutely what’s going on.
A fun way to combat this would be to get every artist to add giant, throbbing dicks to everything they create in Photoshop with the hope that it creates the thirstiest, nastiest AI model out there.
I know this is the ultimate cliche answer, but it’s gotta be Sephiroth for me. The original FVII just caught me at that perfect time.
Spoilers ahead…
When you play through FFVII (the original, that is–I haven’t played the remakes yet), you only just hear about Sephiroth at first. Then you see some of the carnage that he’s caused: the President of Shinra dead at his desk and the super difficult snake boss piked on a giant stake.
In one of the flashbacks, he’s doing freaking research. That sounds boring and bland, but it was a level of depth to a villain that most people (or at least I) had never seen before. In another flashback, Cloud as a new recruit is with Sephiroth, and the difference in power is incredible. Sephiroth makes child’s play of this enormous dragon.
The final battle(s) is fantastic, and his theme song–hinted at throughout the game by Uematsu’s classic score–is iconic. Phallic imagery aside, the Masamune blade is simple but super cool. And he freaking kills Aerith?! Can he do that?! A friend of mine stopped playing the game for weeks after he got to that part.
A lot of these things are super common in games now, and I know there are several games before FFVII that had characters with this amount of depth (FFVI comes to mind), but Sephiroth is just the coolest, man!!
What?!?! Just embrace it, dude!
The Final Sacrifice is one of my all-time favorites!! It is the perfect mix of a bad movie that is just the right kind of entertaining and hilarious jokes at the awkward kid, hopeless drunk, and other ridiculous side characters. I think I could watch it literally every day.
Most likely it was plantar fasciitis, which means that he just needed arch support. Same thing happened to me. I thought I was just cursed with sore feet forever until someone explained what it was and how simple it was to fix. It’s amazing what good arch support can do!
Damn. For what I originally thought was such a stupid idea, that was surprisingly good.
I love “Matchstick Men.” Great plot. Fun characters. Chef’s kiss Cage freak-out towards the end.
