i didnt even get angry i was just too bad to kill the first boss and i had no idea what to do to progress so i took a break and never opened it again B)
If you mean the gold guy on the horse when you first start, don’t fight him (yet). You can avoid him.
If you mean the first actual boss in the castle, you can get help from an npc or other players by using an item to see their “signs” on the ground and inviting them to your game.
Gotta break it back out! I just beat it last week. My first souls game. Starting NG+ now
I never played any Souls games before Elden Ring, and while it was a bit frustrating at first, I came to enjoy the exploration quite a lot.
It’s not as hard as people make it up to be, as you can mostly just overlevel a bit if you hit a wall. Some of the boss fights suck, though. They feel unfair at times and I felt a bit lucky to beat some of them when they just randomly don’t do the hard-to-avoid combos.
The exploration is what makes the game for me. The universe and atmosphere is spot on. Trying out different weapons and builds is a lot of fun once you get to around lvl 50.
I loved elden ring but you’re right, it’s not as hard as people say it is. I never got gud but was able to beat it by pulling other people in or over leveling.
After I beat it I figured I was ready for other souls games so I got into sekiro. Fucking loved that game but there is no getting around the difficulty. I finally gave up on young Owl.
Sekiro is sublime once it clicks. Easily my favorite from soft game
Elden Ring is honestly pretty easy with the right builds. It’s just hard really hard on a first blind playthrough since you won’t know what the good items are and where to find them.
In that case, never check out the rest of the Soulsborne series
Nah, I recommend sekiro asap.
When you open the door and go outside, sneak past the big golden guy on a horse, go into the church and hit the grace. Don’t try to fight him before you’ve levelled up a bit.
I apparently was too stupid to find the thing that teaches you how to craft in thebvery beginning, as well as the first boss, so I ended up wandering around grinding until I killed the second boss first. Idk man those games just aren’t for me
I mean if it makes you feel worse, I don’t think I crafted a single thing the whole game. Not really necessary from what I recall
My mom got me Bloodborne for my birthday and I’ve played a total of 2 hours. I haven’t raged yet. I’m just kinda amazed at how goddamn bad I am at the game. I’ve played all the Souls games and like half of Elden Ring(I had to take a break because I got burnt out) and I wasn’t this bad at any of them. I plan on playing most of the weekend because I’m super sick. Hopefully I’ll get better in that time lol
I was recommended the game because I liked Dark Souls 1 but hated the second. I don’t like it one bit. The loops are just not fun for me. Exploring is punished instead of encouraged.
Loops?
What is punishing about exploring? Elden Ring is probably the easiest souls game, you can just mount torrent and leave everything in the dust.Teleporting you to a very hard area cos you touched something. Torrent is there cos the vast majority of the space is empty and serves no purpose gameplay wise.
Just dodge the trapped chests
How do I know which are the trapped ones? Why is the game programmed to be so extremely against you? Is it some form of sadism? The whole game atmosphere reeks of despair. I understand taste may vary and a lot of people like it but it’s just not for me.
The ones that have smoke are trapped, you can dodge roll backwards after seeing the smoke
It’s one of those things I should have noticed on my own. To me that means I don’t care enough for the game. We just didn’t click.
How is exploring punished?
For example teleporting you to an area that is tough as nails just cos you dared touch something.
You can always flee the area though
First thing, kill the guys by the ballista in front of the castle like 500 times fer levulz. Then go south for a while and kill lion guy. then do everything else.
i don’t know what elden ring is about and i’m not sure how to interpret that meme
It’s the first from soft game that I’ve played and I’ve never been happier or more frustrated playing anything before.
It’s really hard for many people
Fromsoft games are poorly made so they can be frustrating
